Jerry D. Rothman is a partner at the firm Rothman & Alpert. This firm provides a full range of legal service to its clients. Mr. Rothman has extensive litigation experience in both State courts and Federal courts. His diverse Southern California-based practice focuses on cases involving family law, estate planning, business litigation and representing nonprofit organizations.
Mr. Rothman’s extensive business background has contributed to his talent and success as an attorney. Prior to delving into the legal profession full-time, Jerry Rothman spent over fifteen years working as an executive for Miller Brewing Company in Texas. His keen sense of business and seemingly effortless manner of problem solving are attributed to his experience in the business environment. The combination between Mr. Rothman’s business experience and legal experience has enabled him have a legal success record in every area of the law that he practices or oversees. The combination of this business expertise and legal knowledge enable him to untangle complicated legal and financial issues to serve the best interest of his client. He is an effective negotiator and skilled litigator who is result- driven yet will not compromise integrity.
PROFESSIONAL AND CIVIC ACTIVITIES
Jerry Rothman has always dedicated his time and service to the community. While residing in Fort Worth, Texas, he served on the Board of many local businesses and churches in his community.
Since moving to California from Texas, Jerry Rothman has continued his dedication and commitment to the community. He has zealously represented countless low-income individuals on a pro bono basis in court. He has also volunteered his time advising community nonprofit organizations. Jerry is recognized in his community and several legal institutions for his excellence and contribution to the community. In 2005, Mr. Rothman received an Outstanding Volunteer of the Year Award from Neighborhood Legal Services, a nonprofit legal aid organization, for his pro bono services with domestic violence victims. Mr. Rothman has also received recognition awards for his work as a volunteer for The Harriet Buhai Center, a nonprofit organization. He has received awards such as Certificate of Tribute, State of California Senate Certificate of Recognition, County of Los Angeles Certificate of Recognition, and San Fernando Valley Bar Association Certificate of Recognition among others.
Jerry Rothman regularly attends continuing education seminars in the Los Angeles area and surrounding counties within the state of California in order to stay current on new developments in the areas of the law which he practices.
